A little bit of a Lush haul!

Now, before I begin I promise that these purchases were made before I put myself on a spending ban...and they were part of the shopping trip that confirmed I needed to go on one!

I haven't bought anything from Lush for years and years - it has felt a little pointless since I virtually lost my sense of smell.  I mean what is the point in having incredibly scented baths etc if you can't bloody well smell them?! In fact I think the last things I had from Lush were for my 19th birthday...so that's coming up for four years ago.  I decided enough was enough, and who cares if I can't smell it, I still want to slather myself in their delightful products!

It was pouring with rain in Exeter on the morning of these purchases and Lush was the perfect retreat from the rain; I was welcomed in and had more products tried and tested on my arms than I knew what to do with (needless to say I left with the softest arms in the South West!).

I went in for a cleanser and came out with slightly more...

Well at least I got the cleanser, right?!

First up Angels On Bare Skin which I've got to admit at first glance, and actually, on using - is weird! It's a grainy and crumbly solid cleanser that needs to be worked with water to produce either a milk or a paste depending on how much water you use. I don't want to go into this too much as I will write a full review on it soon, but other than it being a bit of an effort when all I want to do is roll into bed at the end of the day, I like it! The main ingredients are ground sweet almonds which not only gently exfoliate but create the almond milk when mixed with water, almonds also brighten and tone the skin; and lavender oil which is meant to even out skin tone and reduce redness. Like I said I'll do a full review soon!

Next, I was inspired by Estee from EssieButton to get the Eau Roma Water.  I only bought the 100ml bottle as I thought I'd be better off giving it a try before I go for broke.  The ingredients that make this spritz toner what is is are Rose Water and Lavender Water, Rose Water is used for it's calming properties and the Lavender Water is used to "soften the skin and balance sebum production".  I've got to admit that spraying this directly onto my face did make me jump out of my skin for about a week, but I'm used to it know and really enjoy the refreshing element that spritzing it onto my skin gives!  I'll do a full review of this product soon too so I wont say too much more!

Now, onto shower products.  I've got to admit that I'm not really big on baths; I get too hot, I get bored, I feel faint and I never know what to do with myself when I'm in there (other than avoid staring at the whale that's trapped in the tub!), so I asked the lovely man in Lush to offer me some luxurious shower alternatives.  First he recommended Turkish Delight which is a body wash that doesn't lather, it just glides onto your skin and leaves you nourished and smooth! I haven't tried this yet but I'm looking forward to giving it a go! Full review to come!

As a bit of extra decadence I then got talked into (I'm so easily led) getting Ro's Argan Body Conditioner which is exactly what it sounds like.  Once you've washed yourself you slather this stuff on, leave it a bit a then rinse it off and I do believe you are meant to be left with baby soft, sweet smelling skin, and I don't think you're supposed to have to use a moisturiser once you're out the shower - result! I'm also yet to try this but a full review will be on it's way to you once I've given it a go!

So there we have it, a rather larger Lush haul than I'd anticipated but oh well!! And can I point out that I did not go in with the intention of only buying things containing Roses but I appear to have come out with only Rose products -  I don't even remember what roses smell like (having no sense of smell really sucks) so I hope I smell nice, and not like an old lady when I use all of these!!

Have you picked up any Lush products recently? Or have any firm favourites? I'm keen to try more so feel free to let me know in the comments if there is anything I've simply got to try (of course it will be added to my list and not bought now, as breaking the spending ban would be bad!)

Monday Questionnaire

Alison over at www.amarixe.com has done a Monday Questionnaire, and having read it I thought why not do one too! I like having a look at other people's answers to this kind of thing, so I hope you enjoy reading my answers, or at least don't find them too boring!!

1.) Mood:
Content if not a little tired!
2.) Do you wear a piece of jewelry that you never take off?
I've worn a toe ring for 9 years now and I wouldn't dream of taking it off, people often assume it would be really uncomfortable but honestly I don't even know it is there! I also wear a silver ring on my right hand ring finger (or third finger) and three silver bracelets on my right wrist and I keep these on all the time!
3.) If you had a free year to do anything you wanted (with unlimited funds to do so), how would you spend it?
I'd travel, I like Alison's idea to spend a month in 12 different cities but I don't think I'd like to always be in the city - a large chunk would have to be spent sunbathing on golden sands! I'd want to take my family and close friends with me too!
4.) Current nail polish:
I'm trying to give my nails a break and help them gain some strength (they are the most pathetic nails in the world) so I've been applying OPI's Nail Envy every other day in a bid to help them along!
5.) Have you been watching the Olympics?
Yes, my favourites are the gymnastics and the swimming...although really I love them all! I am so upset for Tom Daley, he really deserves a gold!
6.) Current outfit:
Fat Face coral floral maxi skirt, H&M black strap top, black Topshop slouchy t-shirt and black havaianas
This is the skirt in question - obviously not the top!
7.) What are your favorite pizza toppings?
It's got to be pepperoni really. Although on homemade pizzas I love a tuna and pepperoni/chorizo mix! Wow that's made me hungry!
8.) Who is your favorite Disney character?
Believe it or not I'm not massively into Disney (I know I am going to go down in people's estimations for this) but I didn't watch much as a child (talk about a deprived childhood) so I feel it's a bit late to get into it now. Probably Belle from Beauty and the Beast though.
9.) When it comes to shoes, flats or heels?
In the day it has got to be flats, I can't think of anything worse than wearing heels all day everyday, but when it comes to a night out my outfit doesn't feel complete without heels, I need them to elongate and try their hardest to give the appearance of slimmer legs, and to make my outfit feel complete.
10.) Weekly goals:
I'm going home on Wednesday, and I'd like to maintain the good blogging routine i've got into, and I'd like to make the most of my days starting by getting up nice and early and going to bed early too! I've written a post on the 7 Things I hope to achieve this week and you can read it  here!

I'd love to read your responses, so you can copy and paste the questions below and leave them as a comment if you'd like!

I hope you're all well x

Naughty Promotion Emails!

I've just had to force myself to leave The Body Shop website (and my rather full virtual basket - that's the trouble with a virtual basket it never gets heavy enough to shock me into stopping or putting items back!) after receiving an email informing me of a 50% sale on certain Body Butters, including my faithful friend Mango! If you've read this post (please do if you need someone to make you feel better about yourself and your spending habits) then you'll know that I recently went a bit OTT on the sale of Raspberry Body Butter, and so you'll know, that I categorically will not need another moisturiser for the next millennia.  Yet still I found myself metaphorically lobbing more and more things into my basket.  Well, this has got to stop! I do not have the money, nor the storage capacity to keep up with this ridiculous spending pattern I've got myself into (do not let me fool you into thinking that this was a one off) and the last time I checked I only had one body and one face (although I do have more than one chin so maybe it's slightly justified?!) and I can't possibly get through all of the products I've been hoarding.  So enough is enough, and I Alice Martin, am on a self imposed spending ban.

Phew that gave me the shivers just airing that news in public, but I am, and I have been for a few weeks and it feels...good.  I know I almost broke it just now (damn you Body Shop) but it's actually felt good to just lust after things instead of convincing myself I need to own them right away!

I'm not saying I will never splurge again (it's me we're talking about) and I do have a 'wish list' as long as my leg (arm wouldn't cut it) but for now it is quite refreshing to sit back and watch the beauty world go buy and contentedly shop my stash instead of splashing the cash.

So I promise, that all reviews that have been posted recently, and all that are to come for a while, will be products that I bought in my manic days of doing a snatch and grab of the makeup counters! I will own up if I break the ban, or when I've decided I've been good enough to shop again, but until then I'll bask in the virtuous feeling I have right now!

Another 7 Things!

So it would appear that Louise hadn't quite expected the response she got to her interactive '7 Things' challenge!  Clearly we all loved it and I am going to have another crack and state another 7 Things I intend to do over the coming week or so (realistically it will start on Thursday as I am not back from my Granny's until then).

Just to clarify, this is the beautiful Louise - if only I looked like that!!

So, in no particular order, my seven things are as follows...

Correspond :: It might sound old fashioned and it may be boring but there are certain things I've just gotta' do! I love writing letters but I must admit that actually sitting down with my pen and paper seems to take more effort than I'm pleased to admit.  But this week will see change and I'll write those letters, buy those ridiculously expensive stamps, and pop the envelopes sealed with love into the post box!

Create :: I've utterly neglected my art for a shameless length of time, but I think I'd enjoy it, so I really would like to dust of my paints and have a crack at it - see if my brain still knows what to do! I'd also like to cook more, even if they are naughty highly calorific goodies!

Blog :: I've been doing better than I anticipated at blogging while I'm caring for my Granny but I really don't want to let it slide, so from Thursday to Thursday I plan to blog every day!!

Look after myself :: I'm very good at looking after other people, but not so good at repaying the favour to myself so I intend to properly look after myself.

Do :: There are a lot of boring tasks that I have let slip away from me, so this week I intend to sort my room out properly (Makeup that includes you!) and tackle the growing monster that is the ironing pile!

Exercise :: I'm not talking about becoming an Olympian (although why I wasn't picked for the swimming or gymnastics teams is beyond me) but I just need to get physical and begin the long long long long loooonnnngggg road to getting my body looking the way it used to!

Enjoy :: I've just found out one of my best friends is coming home next weekend and I can't wait to bask in her company!

Do you have any goals for the coming week, month or year?

Clarins Colour Quench Lip Balm

Once again I went to purchase a particular thing and came out with something different!  I'd gone to Debenhams to pick up the much raved about Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector (as seen here) and came out with this, the Colour Quench Lip Balm in shade 04 Raspberry Smoothie (have had to include a link to it from Boots as couldn't find the shade on Debenhams website - naughty Debenhams!). I'll be perfectly honest and admit that I have no idea why the lovely Clarins lady recommended this to me over the Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector (crikey what a mouthful!) as both claim to nourish, repair and protect your lips but hey ho, I'm not at all disappointed with my lot as I simply adore my Colour Quench Lip Balm.

Boots give this description 'Eight of the prettiest shades of shimmering transparent lip colour with a delicious cherry scent and flavour. A finish that’s glossy, not sticky, due to a 100% natural high-shine polymer and a cocktail of skin treatment plant extracts that intensively nourish, repair, protect and moisturise. A sheer, smoothing glaze of a gloss that adds long-lasting, light-catching colour and shine.'
I think this description is pretty spot on. I don't know that I'd recognise a '100% natural high-shine polymer' if it slapped me in the chops, but whatever it is it really does work to make this a complete joy to wear - there is none of that horrible sticky feeling, only sheer cherry scented joy!

I really love the fact that this product is a balm and a gloss combined.  I suffer from incredibly dry lips and I don't really like just masking it with a regular gloss because even if it looks good for a while you know that the illusion will be shattered once the gloss wears off!

There is a much larger range of colours in the Colour Quench line than there is of Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors, eight to the ILNLP three and personally I think this is no bad thing - there has got to be something there for everyone, and for every season!

Shade 04 Raspberry Smoothie is a delicious soft mid-toned pink packed full with silver shimmer and it gives a really natural and wearable high shine to your lips, which is perfect for everyday, and could be easily worn over lippie to give a more dramatic look.

At £15 it is a pound cheaper than the ILNLP.  I am thrilled with my purchase and it has remained in my handbag since the day I bought it and I can't see it leaving any time soon!

I'd still love to try the ILNLP to have a bit of a compare and contrast with the Colour Quench but for the time being I am happy as larry!

Do you have a favourite gloss come balm?

As always, the beautiful throw that is the backdrop to my photos was handmade by the incredibly talented Gabrielle Vary, so go and check out her website here if you fancy a look, or have a nosey on http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/gabriellevary to see some more of here wonderful stuff (there's a sale on it too!)

I hope you're all well

Current Loves

Book The Making of Us by Lisa Jewell. Lisa Jewell has got to be one of my all time favourite authors, not only are her books fantastic and you get absolutely sucked in to the lives of each of the characters, but I was introduced to Thirty Nothing (an amazing read) by my cousin years and years ago, so whenever I read something by Lisa Jewell I can't help but think back on amazing times with my cousin (my best friend, and basically my sister).

Nail Varnish Essie Lilacism I simply love it! I couldn't stop looking at my nails when I was wearing this!! See this post for a full review and photos

Face Product Avene Thermal Spring Water This stuff really has been an essential over the past couple of days.  I'm currently in Gloucestershire caring for my granny and boy oh boy is it hot! Not only is it hot, but there is no breeze and being from Cornwall I'm used to a constant sea breeze to take the edge off the heat (normally it's annoyingly chilly but now I could really do with it!) So this spray has been used regularly to instantly refresh me, the metal spray can means the product is always cold regardless of the room temperature.

Lip Product Maybelline ColorSensational Popstick I love the smell of this, and how easily it glides on to the skin. A perfect summer lip balm with a hint of colour.

Hair Product Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo and Conditioner To be perfectly honest I don't know how much 'good' these do my hair in the long run, but they certainly make is appear silky smooth and they smell divine so I'm happy!

Drink Marks & Spencer Blackcurrent High Juice, throw in some ice cubes and cold water and voila perfect summer drink!

and last but by no means least my favourite thing overall has been THE SUN I feel like a new person when the sun is shining and I just love it!!

I hope you are all well and enjoying the sunshine!

Just to let you know...

Hello lovely readers, I just wanted you to know that there is a chance I'll be a bit MIA from blogging for the next week as I'm going to stay with my granny to be her carer (she has Alzheimer's - which I'd be happy to write a post about from personal experiences if you'd be interested?).  While I intend to take my laptop I can't be sure of good internet connections, nor blogging opportunities as I'll be providing 24hour care so I'll be pretty busy and tired!!

I'm looking forward to spending time with my beautiful Granny, but I'm also nervous - it's so hard not to let all the sadness I feel on her behalf really get me down.  Imagine not knowing who your own family are, and then just accepting that this person you don't recognise is staying in your house just because they told you they are.  Anyway, she's hilarious and I'm sure we'll have a laugh, and I'm looking forward to reading to her (we read The Woodlanders by Thomas Hardy when I cared for her in January - I wonder what it'll be this time?!) and I really hope she'll want to watch a bit of the Olympics (which I am very excited about!).

Sorry if this is a bit of a strange and personal post, I just wanted to keep you all in the loop!

Hopefully I'll get a chance to blog, if not, I'll be back in a week! I hope you are all well, and thank you again for reading the random collection of words that flow from my brain to my fingers and on to your screen!

Sunday 22 July 2012

It's been a long one.

My day started at 2am when I drove to Exeter to collect my brother and his friends from their travels in Morocco.  As I left the house this morning I was struck by what a beautiful part of the world I live in; the sky was glowing under the light of a zillion stars (and I saw my first shooting star!) and it just felt so peaceful and comforting.  As I drove down deserted roads and dawn began to break it felt like I was part of something pretty special, the only other people on the road were truckers and it was like I had a ticket to the premier showing or something equally exclusive!

As I made the return journey with my weary passengers the sun rose like a fire ball and the mist lay low over the ground, it was a perfect and quite ethereal sight.  I would have loved to have taken some photos but I felt a dual carriage-way (even if I was the only one on the road) probably wasn't prime position to try to get a shot! I drove via the beach and even though I've seen it a thousand times it warmed my heart to see the stillness of the beach with the gentle waves.  What really shocked me was my brothers response to coming home, he seemed overwhelmed by the beauty in a way, and said he lived in the most amazing place in the world (and considering he's just returned from an epic trip is high praise indeed!)  After today and yesterday I can't help but agree, I've laid in the garden listening to nothing but the sounds of the birds fighting on the bird feeder and it has felt like heaven, and my soul feels a tonne lighter for it.

Why would I want to be anywhere else?

Maybelline ColorSensational Popstick - Citrus Slice

I simply couldn't resist the three for two offer on Maybelline in Boots a few weeks ago and I was drawn to the colour tattoos as well as this rather intriguing 'Popstick'.  Maybe I'm just a child, but the thought of putting something that essentially looks and smells like jelly on my lips was too much to resist!

I went for the shade 060 Citrus Slice (mainly because of the smell) and I'm really happy with both the colour payoff and the fact that the scent lingers for ages!!
This photo doesn't really do the colour justice, it looks far more pink on my lips.

I love the fact that this is more of a 'relaxed' lip colour - it's essentially a balm with a hint of colour and a really sensational smell (it definitely lives up to the name ColorSensational ) and you don't have to worry about looking in a mirror when you slap it on, and it won't look stupid if you forget to reapply it and the colour just gives your lips a natural flush (as if you'd been kissing - naughty!)

I'm going to do a full post on the Colour Tattoos and everything I picked up from Maybelline so watch this space.

Have you tried any of the ColorSensational Popsticks?

How I've been getting on with my seven things...

This post is just a little update to let you know how I have been getting on with my 7 Things that I started as a result of Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter getting us all motivated!!

If you want to see the details of my seven challenges then just click here because this post will just whizz over them and fill you in on how I'm getting on.  Firstly, please note, I am aware that I have not  wrapped this up in seven days, but hey life isn't a race (as I am finding out more and more all the time), and it's getting there (wherever there may be) eventually that counts.

Without further ado let me get into it;
1. Pamper
I guess I haven't been massively successful in this, because I've not given myself a long pamper sesh, but I have done bits here and there - the odd face mask, slick of nail varnish and I even got my body brush out and tried to scrub away my dead skin and cellulite in one foul swoop (note: it didn't work, it hurt)

2. Sort
Hmmm sorting.  It was never going to be the most exciting of tasks but I have got somewhere with it! I've had a lot going on and I've managed to get organised for most of it, which has involved lots of phone calls, emails, and letter writing.  Of course 'sorting' is never complete but I've at least been getting on with it as opposed to burying my head in the proverbial pile of post sand.

3. Read
I have been crazily busy over the past couple of weeks but I have been trying to fit in some reading here and there, and I've been loving it.  I'm currently enjoying The Return of Captain John Emmett by Elizabeth Speller, and it has got me hooked! If you'd like a full book review then let me know!

4. Exercise
Hmm now we hit a bit of a stumbling block - I've certainly been more active recently in my day to day life but I haven't done any formal kind of exercise.  I've been meaning to do Zumba with a friend so maybe this will be the kick up the bum to get my act together!

5. Invest
Now if you've read the original post you'll know that this wasn't about money, it was about my head.  I've found this hard to do.  I'm not particularly good at caring for myself, I'm much better at caring for others - so consider this a work in progress.

6. Plan
See this post to find out exactly how that has been going!! Hint: very well!!

7. Drink
I'm currently sipping from an ice cold water - go me! I have found that filling a nice glass bottle with water at the start of each day and putting it in the fridge has made drinking water far more appealing as it's so much nicer when it's beautifully cold!

If you've been taking part, how have you been getting on? And do you have any tips for keeping yourself motivated?

I hope you're all well

Not the day I'd planned

Today was meant to be spent writing a zillion blog posts.  It hasn't happened, but boy oh boy am I pleased with the reason for this...It's been sunny!!! That is right ladies (and gentlemen if you so choose to read this) I was sat outside in a skirt and strap top! Not only was I sat in it, but I was roasting! I even whacked out the factor 30 because I thought my skin might go into shock as a result of the sudden change from the bleak mid-winter weather we've had for the past zillion years.

Check my twitter martinalice22 or instagram alicemagints for photos of blue sky!!

Hope you've all had a lovely Sunday

Craving!

Starbucks Chocolate Creme - get in my life!

The most amazing hot mallow at a gorgeous cafe in Cardiff - amazing that you get a cookie on  the side!!

I am seriously craving a rather large combination of chocolate, milk and cream...  When caught in this predicament I don't recommend looking on the Food and Drink boards on Pinterest.com - I've almost been reduced to tears by the sight of all that food that I simply wont be eating any time soon!

What are your favourite chocolate related recipes?!

Mask Mania

Firstly I would just like to clear something up - putting cucumber on your eyes only works in the movies!! In real life it slides around all over your face and also (and more importantly) temporarily blinds you!

Enough of my inability to be glamourous and girls, onto the actual product.  I bought a little sachet of the Sanctuary Deep Cleanse Facial 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask from Boots for around £2 (but it was part of a 3 for 2 deal so it was free!) and what a great buy it was.
I'm pretty slack when it comes to anything above and beyond my daily cleanse, tone and moisturise but this really did feel like such an indulgent spa treat! I don't think I had properly read the front and so when it started to actually feel pretty hot on my face I was a little startled, that soon turned to amazement though, it really does just make your face feel so warm, as though you're sealing the mask on with a hot towel - it was so luxurious!
My face needs all the help it can get so I left the mask on for a lot longer than five minutes (while trying to relax listening to Adele but actually finding myself covered in cucumber and blinded by vegetable slime - I gave up and ate the extra slices) and when I washed it off it was as though I had a whole new face!! I can't explain how soft this leaves your skin feeling, and not only soft but glowing and plumped!

I am 100% getting the full size, and maybe it will be a start of a new and improved facial routine!

What is your favourite mask?

Current Loves....

Book The Return of Captain John Emmett by Elizabeth Speller I don't really know how to describe this book - set after the First World War it deals with loss, a search for the truth, and the connections between men who saw some pretty horrific things.  It is an amazing book, and I think it's been written amazingly!

Nail Varnish Fiji by Essie it is a beautiful milky pink.  A full review to come soon!

Face Product Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish full post coming up!

Lip Product Carmex Simple, yet so effective.  I've been using Carmex for years and years and just love how it's slightly medicated scent makes me feel like it must be doing real good.  Before it became really popular my friends all used to use mine and call it 'the industrial' because it really does mean business!

Hair related thing Tangle Teezer I use this as soon as I step out of the shower, tip my head upside down and give it a good brush, it just means that products sit so much better in my hair when I come to styling it.  I also love how gentle it is.

Food Ice Not exciting, and not new, maybe just a bit weird (especially in this winter weather!) but I just can't get enough of ice, I love eating it!!

Website Twitter I've been a bit fan of twitter for a while now, but recently I've been using it for more than just stalking celebs! I've actually been chatting to people! If you fancy following me i'm easily found at martinalice22 - come and say hey!!

Music Rudimental ft. John Newman Feel The Love this song just makes me feel summery despite the hideous weather!

What have you been loving recently? I'd love to know!

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover

I held off buying this for quite a while because, well to be quite honest, I didn't need it.  And do you know what, I still don't, but that didn't stop me from getting it, and it sure as hell doesn't stop me from loving it!

This has got to be the first nail varnish remover that doesn't smell rank or leave your fingers feeling either really greasy or stripped of all moisture.  It is acetone free which is a real bonus, because except for professional salon non-acetone removers I am yet to find a high street make that does the job in under ten minutes a nail (I wish I was joking).  Now, on to the speed of polish removal, I'm going to go there and say that the 1 second claim is a little far fetched but hey I guess if you only had one coat on it might whip it off that quickly. Anyway, it doesn't matter that it isn't one second because it's probably only around five to six and then your nails are squeaky clean.  I also found that it doesn't leave any discolouration around your nail when you take off dark colours which I've found a right pain in the bum with conventional polish removing techniques. It is also just so easy! I popped this small pot in my wash bag when I went away this week and knew I'd be sorted - no running out of cotton wool or worrying about the top coming loose and leaking rank smelling acetone over all your stuff. At £4.99 from Boots, I think this is a little gem and I can definitely see myself repurchasing it.

Now, if only they'd come up with one for your toes....

OPI: Care to Danse?

This is just a quick post about OPI's Care to Danse?

Care to Danse? is part of the New York Ballet collection from OPI.  As the name suggests, all the shades in this range are pastel and neutral but I've found that in this case, it doesn't make them any less striking.  I just kept looking at my nails, they looked sophisticated, elegant and pretty all at once.  Another amazing thing about this polish is the texture, it is like a gel and on your nails it really does feel like a gel to touch, so smooth...cue crazy amounts of finger stroking (well that sounds plain filthy doesn't it?)

I applied three coats and love the finish.

Have any of you tried and polishes from this collection? What do you prefer, neutrals or bright for your nails?

A whole lotta Moleskine love

If you've read this post then you'll know that I wanted to get a diary so I could plan and be more organised.  I've always had a diary but for one reason or another I'd kind of let it slide (probably a result of losing some of the structure of my life), but I've made a purchase, I am going to be bold and declare that this purchase has changed my life. I give you (well I don't, I wont be giving this puppy away), the Moleskine 18 month Weekly Notebook Diary/Planner. I've got the large, soft cover version and I can safely tell you that I will never own a diary from anywhere else ever again.  I know I am getting ridiculously a little bit over excited about a diary, but seriously it is just a work of genius; it feels warm in your hands and the paper is so thin, but so sturdy, and it's got a ruler in it (don't know many others like that do ya?!)

My dad is just as in love with it as I am, and has since asked me to pick him up a small softcover notebook, so I'm not the only one that is hooked! And, after seeing how in love with my Moleskine I am, my dad has promised to buy me a new one each year so that our lives can stay connected even when we're living totally separate ones...I'm sorry but what a babe, he is so cute sometimes!!

So, that's it, my new One True Love.  How sad am I! And with the help of my new love I am able to tick Plan off my list because now my whole life is being documented!

If you're taking part in the 7 Things challenge with Louise have you managed to achieve anything on your list? If you have, has it made you feel better?
